The days are getting shorter, and just like every year, migratory birds are gathering in the sky. Storks, geese, and other bird species are joining the great journey. They’re all looking for their place in the V-formation, because only by flying in the slipstream of the others can they conserve energy.
The player who plans most wisely when placing their own bird cards and combines the right species for their scoring cards will earn the most points and safely lead their flock to its destination as a worthy lead bird.

  • Simple rules, but surprising depth
  • Nature is a trending theme
  • Lovingly and modernly designed

Game Details:
In Fly Away, five different species of birds gather in the sky to migrate south together. As the game progresses, you build your own formation consisting of 12 bird cards.
The cards are placed in a shared display in the center of the table. Taking turns, each player takes 1 to 3 adjacent cards from this display and places them—without changing the arrangement—into their own formation. You may not cover any cards already on the table, and at the end, your formation must look exactly like the display. Any empty spaces in the display are immediately refilled.
The number of points each bird species is worth at the end is determined by personal scoring cards, so each of you has slightly different formations to aim for. The game ends when the first formation is complete; all other players continue playing but must take penalty cards with each turn. Once everyone is finished, the special abilities of the bird cards come into play: swapping positions, removing cards from the scoring area, or doubling their point value.
Afterward, each player scores their scoring cards. The player who has most skillfully tailored their formation to their own scoring cards earns the most points and wins the game.
